Reinstalled windows, XBox Gamepass giving me trouble

I had XBox Gamepass installed for Windows with a few games downloaded. I stored all games on my E: drive, not my C: drive.

I had to do a windows reset which removed the XBox Gamepass from my C drive. I've reinstalled it but it doesn't recognize any of my previous downloaded games on my E drive. When I try to re download games to me E drive I have to change where new apps are
saved to (HATE that about Gamepass BTW, just let just choose where games are DLed like every other launcher, not all apps) but it won't let me select the E Drive. It says:

Delete Other Apps?

This Drive has apps from another device. To use this drive, the other apps must first be deleted. Do you want to continue? Yes No

I select yes and I get this:

We couldn't set your default save location.

The operation did not complete successfully. Try again in a bit.

The error code is 0x80070005, in case you need it.

Long story short the XBox App won't recognize my previous DLed games and I can't access or delete my previous DLed games because I don't have permission to alter the old files (Thanks Windows!!).

So how do I either get the App to see the previous DLed games or delete the old "apps" (AKA games) on my E drive so I can re download my games onto that drive?

1 - Uninstalle xbox beta app
2 - Starte cmd.exe as an administrator
3 - Run sfc / scannow
4 - Restart the PC and reinstall the app from

Followed those steps, same exact thing happens.

I ended up uninstalling the launcher but then I had trouble reinstalling it because it kept telling me I could own it via Gamepass. I rebooted the computer and the problem disappeared, allowing me to reinstall and play. Thanks for the help!!

Restoring/Installing windows again is for me a very general solution or more like an absolute solution that im not trying to do, i rather keep searching for an alternative solution, my pc works perfectly with every other game and app, it's only the gamepass im having trouble and i should be able to fix it focusing on that or wait until somebody answers with something similar.

I don't want to sound uncooperative but recovering/formating/reinstalling windows is not something that i will do every time i have this problem in the gamepass

Hi,

Well I assume by following your first instruction I did indeed reinstall Windows 10 already.

The only game I can open is 'Halo Infinite' as its a free to play game online (that doesn't require pc gamepass). So the fact that I can open that game on the Xbox app tells me it may be a pc gamepass issue.

Do you know how I could contact a Microsoft employee to check out my account (and possibly give me a refund if im out of luck)?
