Reinstall of Windows 10 and XBOX Beta app

I recently had to reinstall windows 10 (MBR corrupt on my C: drive) and with that, came a fresh install of the XBOX Beta application. Prior to the reinstall, I had numerous games installed on a separate drive (F: drive) from the MS store (that I own).
However, after the reinstall, those applications are no longer listed. I have the option to reinstall, but they are already installed on a separate SSD.

My question is this - Is there a way to point XBOX Beta to these installed games (and retain my local saves - like in Subnautica), or is reinstall the only way? On other platforms like BattleNet, Steam and Origin, I can simply locate the game, and point the
interface to that folder.

try either reinstalling the xbox beta app, or try to download the game using the Windows 10 Microsoft Store App

are you trying to install using the microsoft store? or the xbox beta app for windows 10?, if it is the app then I would recommend you to reinstall the app, it is in beta phase, errors like this one can happen

It seems there is a workarround for this, although its more involved than the solutions provided for other launchers.

I've tested this and it's possible. Let me recall:

First you need to take ownership in the Windowsapp folder. Then, locate the game that you want to backup and copy them on other site (if you're reinstalling Windows in other drive different to C:/ is enough.

Reinstall Windows, take the ownership to Windowsapps again. Go to the Windows Store and start to download the app/game.

Pause it, then restore your backup in Windowsapps. Finally resume the download in the Windows Store, it will detect the app and its license.

I am in the same boat. I want to leave the beta, but after leaving the beta in the insider app, it still starts up in the beta. Even if you uninstall and reinstall the windows 10 edition, it still installs the beta.
