    Reinstall a game that I already have installed and reinstalled


    I want to play a game in the xbox app, FAR: Changing Tides Windows Edition, but when I try to launch an error message appears that the application or game cannot be opened and when I check it on Microsoft Store it appears that I need to reinstall the game.

    I already did that three times, but the error continues.

    AVG Antivirus was the culprit, blocking the game's exe. I had to add an exception to the game's folder and reinstall as AVG couldn't restore the file from the quarantine list.

    Sorry to hear that you were about what happened. We understand that you were trying to launch the game however it keeps on looping for reinstallation. Let us check on this together and sort this out in timely manner.

    To better isolate your issue, we would like to ask for few questions:

    1. May we ask for the error message or code you encounter during the reinstallation? Please post a screenshot and conceal any personal information.
    2. May we know if you have antivirus, antimalware, VPN, firewall and PC Optimizer installed to your PC?
    3. Is this the only game you were experiencing the issue with? Or this issue happens even on other games?
    4. How about installation in Microsoft Store? Are games or apps gives you same error or issue?

    I was told to ask about this issue here by forza support- Everytime i open forza horizon 4 on pc the game crashes about 30-40 seconds later.

    I already have the latest graphics drivers installed on my pc. I guess I can reinstall forza again (now reinstall #7). Should I try reinstalling the game to a different drive this time?
