Reinstalation of MSFS 20 Premium edition not possible.

Based on the description, you are having issue with Microsoft Flight Simulator Premium edition and own the physical disc version of the game and is not launching. Let us check and see on what we can do to help resolve your concern in a timely manner.

When you bought the version of the game and install it in your device, the license of the game is tied up to your Microsoft account. Reinstalling the game would just need to sign in your Microsoft account. If you are trying to reinstall the game, before you can reinstall a game , you must first uninstall it from the console's hard drive.

To uninstall a game:

• Press the Xbox button to open the guide, then select My games & apps > See all > Games (or Apps).
  
• Highlight the game or app you want to uninstall, press the Menu button, select Uninstall, and then follow the prompts.
  

You can then reinstall the game or app by inserting the disc or downloading it again from the Microsoft Store or Xbox Game Pass, or by going to My games & apps > See all > Full library.

The DVD version is completely outdated and the game will have to be re-downloaded regardless

All copies of MSFS have been upgraded to the 40th anniversary version, which you can install from this link

All this link achieved was to direct me to purchase a 40th Anniversary edition. It didn't resolve the issue of being able to re-install my original MSFS 2020 Premium Edition which i have already purchased as a set of disks

Having the same problem - tried reinstalling 4 times. Content manager not showing version numbers or disk space usage for premium content, however the folders are there - Marketplace says I Own Premium Deluxe - but no premium content in the Sim. It was
working great until I purchased Flightbeams KDEN - then went south from there. - The MSFS forums told me to submit a ticket - the reply from the ticket was to contact the store.
