Regular Xbox Live disconnection issue

Hi Dspaceman , I know the reason your problem is happening, It happens to me soemtimes too. The router will drop for 3 seconds and all Wi-Fi processess will stop it happens sometimes to me while I play on my xbox. The only way to fix it is turn off some
Wi-Fi applications like another xbox.

I would contact Microsoft by phone. They should be able to help you better than we can.

Thanks guys for all your help. Sorry I have not replied earlier. My connection has been stable for about a week now. Still unsure what the problem was though. My modem is up-to-date with the latest firmware. I had also previously tried clearing my system
cache and re-downloading my profile to no avail. Could've been a problem with my ISP.

Thanks for taking the time to post here. Based of the test you did, you're able to connect fine - which leads me to believe that the disconnects you're experiencing are coming from another source. Do you know by chance if you continue to disconnect if you bypass
the router and plug directly into the modem? If you haven't tried this go ahead and give it a quick try. It's not a permanent solution if it works, but it would help us identify the issue better.
