Regular Blu Ray not playing at XBox One

Discus and support Regular Blu Ray not playing at XBox One in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; My XBox One does not play regular Blu Ray discs. My TV does not recognize it.     Regular Blu Ray not playing at XBox One


    My XBox One does not play regular Blu Ray discs. My TV does not recognize it.

    But when I insert a 4K UltraHD disc, XBox plays it and my TV recognizes it.

    This happens if I connect the XBox player through the Onkyo 575 receiver or when hooked up directly to the TV. I've also changed the HDMI cable and I have the same problem.

    @dude, I think they say that cause your not allowed to comment about future hardware the other person may have not known and said it out. but lets all ask our selfs this...a blu-ray player plays blu-rays regular or 3D why would Xbox one will be to only Blu-ray
    player on the planet that plays regular blu-ray? regular blu-ray and 3D blu-rays use the same disc fame format just written diffrently on the disc but both can be picked up by the same laser, yes yes, and yes It plays 3D movies and games :)

    I too have been having similar, if not the same issues. I just bought an Xbox One S and LG 65UH8500 4K Ultra HD LED TV. I have a bunch of 4K Blu-Rays and NONE of them play with the vivid bright HDR colors as you see on the TV's in stores. I played Trolls
    side by side from a regular Blu-Ray and my 4K disc/setup and the color is way brighter on the regular Blu-Ray. 4K blu-rays through the Xbox one are dull as crap. I've tried all sorts of setting combinations between both the Xbox and the TV and nothing is fixing
    it. This is such a bummer because I want to watch these movies in 4k not regular HD but I can't even enjoy them.

    I need proof that it's ok to play movies on xbox. My mother won't let me watch movies on my xbox 360.

    No worries, both the 360 and the Xbox One can play movie discs.

    The 360 is unable to play Blu Ray but does handle movie discs with no problems.

    The Xbox One can play both regular and Blu Ray discs.

    If your mother requires proof that movies can be played on the console you just need to show her the Movie and TV app on the console.

    Well it won't play 3D blu-ray. If any other blu-ray, DVD, game disc work fine, the issue is with the thor regular version.
