Registering game from Microsoft store onto Xbox App

I own a copy of Microsoft Flight Simulator from the Microsoft store, but it forces me to attempt to install it on the Xbox app, which it is not registered to my account there. When the store directs me to the Xbox app, it wants me to buy gamepass even though I own the game. The game itself is not in my Xbox library even though it is the same microsoft account.

Thanks you very much for your help. It turns out the issue was I had to choose what Microsoft account I used for my Xbox account. I suppose I had never linked them somehow. Anyways, the game's now on my Xbox app and everything is good. Thanks a lot again.

Let's check and validate. Kindly sign in to https://account.microsoft.com/billing/orders and locate your order for the game. It should be stated as "completed". Once you locate the game, please sign out on your Microsoft Store App as well as on your Xbox App then restart your PC before signing back in.
