Registering an Elite controller without an Xbox

How do I register an Elite controller without having a console? I originally had one of the original elite controller. I used it on every variant of Xbox since it launched. The grips came off and I was left with sharp edges. I tried to get it repaired, but
they repair controllers, just replace them. but no one ever got back to me in several weeks. Against better judgement, I went a bought a new one. This time time though, I bought one of the new white ones in hopes they might have solved it. To avoid the nightmare
of the first one, I need to make sure this is 100% verified to be registered for repairs.

100% Insured, if I am not mistaken you have a year insured for the pad.

i also wish to register my elite controller but get the error.

xbox one registered ok but elite controller serial number too long so shows invalid.

any help would be appreciated.

You need to register the device you are using it with, it's an Xbox controller elite?
