Register and check warranty status of Xbox one controller (bought separately and use on PC)

Hi, how do i register Xbox One Controller which i bought for gaming on PC? I've check under registration under My Device, but it only show register with Xbox console. I only bought the controller solely for PC.

Thanks for reaching out to the forums. We understand you are trying to register a controller. Unfortunately, you will need to reach out to support either by chat or requesting a call. They are the only ones that can assist in this issue.

When you go to Contact Us,follow these steps to request a call from support:

Step 1 ----click on Contact us
Step 2 ----under what you having trouble with select Subscriptions & billing
Step 3-----under what is the issue I can't redeem a code then hit next

Step 4 ----scroll down to select request a call or chat

Once they call explain the issue and they will be able to help you. Note that these options regularly change so just keep selecting something that gives request a call from support as a contact option.

if you bought the controller 3 months ago, you can valid the warranty directly from Xbox.

Kindly click the sign-in button at the bottom part to check the warranty status.

If it's under warranty, log in to your account to this link, https://account.microsoft.com/devices/.

Register the device there, after selecting the controller in the registered devices there should be an option to proceed with a replacement order.
