(REGIONAL PROBLEM) Games w/ Gold: Dead Space

hello, i have lately been having a problem regarding dead space.

now, my original physical region was UAE, and the console was bought from the UAE.

this includes my account region aswell.

when this month's games w/ gold came out, i tried to download Dead Space but only to be met with the following message,

"This game's region does not match this console. It will not be downloaded. You have not been charged."

this was obviously odd, so i tried to download it through the xbox site which worked, but once it finished, i got;

"This disc's region code does not match this console."

so, what i did was, i tried to switch region to the US, because after research, i found that Dead Space was only NTSC U/C & NTSC J compatible.

what i would like to know is, am i downloading an NTSC Dead Space?

i'm extremely disappointed and my gold is only 3 months & i can only switch every 3 months.

please help microsoft, i really would like to play Dead Space.

recently, i've been having a problem w/ dead space due to regional issues (this games region code doesn't match)

Uh oh... that shouldn't have happened.

now, when i tried to download DS, it gave me the error code and i assumed, changing region would change my region code.

so what i did, i researched on dead space and it's region compatibility which showed it's only ntsc compatible.

i migrated into the US hoping it would change it.

i was wrong.

i'm now stuck downloading US (NTSC) games w/ a PAL console and i wish to kindly request for another region migration ASAP.

i don't want to waste a 3 months on games w/ gold because i have a 3 month membership.

Dead Space is region locked by the EA publisher for the xbox 360. The region of the digital game is only NTSC U/C & NTSC J compatible and if you own a PAL console you will not be able to download the game.

 

so? how does this benefit the PAL xbox users?

it's a waste of this month's gold and i can only pray that SR:IV will be PAL compatible.

can't microsoft help the PAL users or consider action?

 

take note, the demo for dead space works on my console but the full version doesn't.

 

Yes the demo wouldn't have region restrictions however due to the worldwide bans on deadspace in some regions your account region and actual region and console region must match

This is not fair. I bought MS gold only because the games. Now I have nothing.....

MS - provide Pal permission from EA, pls.

 

Ummm two things Pal and ntsce is hard coded into the console it cannot be removed

Second ea decides if they include region restrictions and fyi some regions don't allow the game so hence the region locks

Also it is doubtful ea would republish an old game they are for the oculus rift though

 

man, if Microsoft is gonna release a free game, they should at least make sure it's *** region free.

Ms cannot make something region free without the publishers permission you are asking the wrong people

Region. Locks are set by the publishers legally

 

For the best experience with xbox live your account region and actual region and console region must match

And all consoles are hard coded regions

So even if you pretend to be in another country it won't work
