    So I had been speaking to Tracy with support about an issue I had with a game I purchased online through the store. GTA V. It suddenly disappeared from my console completely. I was going to reinstall it and play through it again.

    I spoke with Tracy for roughly a half an hour, we tried several things to no avail. She confirmed that I had purchased the game back in 2015. She was going to give me access to download the game again. We got diconnected. Apparently she tried calling me
    back but my phone never rang. So I got them to call me again, this time speaking with a guy, I can't remember his name.

    First he told me I had never purchased the game, which was a load of crap, then, when he saw that I had, he burst out LAUGHING AT ME and said "oh, your not gonna like this!". He then proceeded to tell me that since I bought the game while I was living in
    Germany, and in a different region, I can't access the game in the states without buying it again.

    He "apologized" for laughing, while laughing and said there was nothing he could do, and asked if I needed help with anything else.

    This was the most pathetic excuse for customer service I have experienced in my life. To have the audacity to laugh at a long time customer because he found my problem funny. Pathetic.

    I am extremely disappointed with this experience. Because of this, when my gold subscription expires, you will have lost a customer of many years. I will also be sharing this with every single gamer forum I can find, and every social media site I participate
    in.

    About buying

    Hello,

    When you purchase items on the Xbox LIVE Marketplace the whole regional coding of the content doesn't matter. As long as it's available in your country and your account region is in that same country you should be able to purchase it on the marketplace without
    any sort of issues and play it on your console. Please know that you're not being shipped a disc for the game, you're only going to be able to download it from the Xbox LIVE Marketplace to your console.

    The only time regional coding comes into play is when you purchase physical game discs, those are coded in PAL or NTSC and the disc drive you get in your console can only read one or the other depending on what country you purchased the console from.

    Xbox One: Blu-ray and DVD movies

    Your Xbox is set to the region where you purchased the Xbox. Where did you buy your Xbox? In the UAE? If so that is B for Blu Ray and 2 for DVD. Also-- you could always just try a disc coded to a known region.

    Sorry to hear this happened to you. Although the person was correct about the game it does not excuse what happened. I would recommend calling phone support again and speaking to another rep about what happened. If need be, ask to have the call escalated
    to speak with someone higher up.

    Where did you purchase the code from? Codes are region locked so the region of the code must match the region of your account. The region of your account must match the region you live in.

    How to know which region xbox gift card to purchase?

    You would purchase codes for your own region, but since you are in a region that is not supported, there would not be any codes for your region. If you were to purchase them for the US or any other region, they would not be guaranteed to work since your region won't match.

    Hi there,

    the correct region for Holland/Netherlands would be Region Netherlands(Nederland) and Language Nederlands, but the questions might also be is where was the Code purchased, since it might need to match the region where the code was purchased.

    Check the instructions that came with the code.You might need to redeem it on a different page.

    Codes are unfortunately region locked and you would have to live in the region the code was purchased from.
