    Region Restricted Code


    Recently my friend bought two xbox live membership codes, one from amazon and one from the microsoft store. Both have a region restriction and i’ve tried them and it gives me the same error. I’ve bought multiple codes from amazon and never encountered
    this problem. What could be the problem? (My store is set to the US & his is supposed to be as well.)

    His region might not be, but to circumvent this from being an issue ever again i believe you can buy these as a gift.

    Amazon said we would need to speak to microsoft regarding the code he bought from them.

    If his region is the same as yours but it can't be redeemed>>>>he needs to contact Microsoft by requesting a call back. https://support.xbox.com/en-US/contact-us.

    Then Select:

    1. Xbox One
    2. See Other Options
    3. Subscriptions Changes
    4. Show contact info
    5. Request a call back

    Also, you have the options to speak to a live agent. Now regarding the Amazon card>>he needs to contact their customer service.

    He bought the code on the xbox store as a gift for himself, I also just checked with him and his store is set to the US also
