    Region Problems with the Xbox website & currency


    Hi,

    I'm trying to change my gamertag through the Xbox website, however instead of staying on the Irish version of the Xbox site (en-ie), I get automatically redirected to the British version (en-gb), and the currency changes to Pound Sterling. Unfortunately my
    bank charges a little extra when making payments in a foreign currency. Is there any way to force the site to use Euro?

    Sounds like you purchased the wrong code did you buy a ccurrency card matching your account region? If not that would be why as currency cards are region specific

    Unless you aren't changing the website to your account region

    This also causes problems with region locked content if your account region doesn't match your actual region

    xbox 360 ! currency issue

    currency will not work on Xbox 360 games anywys you will have to use the region migration tool on this website to adjust the settings

    But currency won't work

    Can you please try clearing you browser history, cookies and cached information and also try using a alternate browser to see if this helps with your problem?

    Yes and no

    Currency is region locked meaning whatever region currency you buy us the region you account must be set at in order to use them

    If you are using UK for out of region content well that won't work

    Region independence is an Xbox one feature only and won't work far 360games

    Thank you for the response, my country is not supported by xbox/microsoft so that's the problem with the region :). I got one more question if you know anything about it. Will using the EU cards on the microsoft redeem site work if i set the website language
    to an european country?
    No comment we don't suggest out of region purchases as mentioned before it can cause problems. And you are in your own in this one

    Remember currency is region locked not just by continents but by country so you are rolling the dice on Russian roulette
