    Region migration stuck


    Hi,

    2 weeks ago I requested a region migration from UK to DE. It appeared to work, I received a confirmation email from Microsoft. However, 2 weeks later and my account is still stuck in the UK marketplace.

    I can change my billing information to my German address, and then the marketplace looks like it is German (language changes, shows euros not pounds), but whenever I try to buy something it shows pounds and my remaining balance in the UK marketplace, instead
    of my new balance in the German marketplace.

    Anyone have this happen to them?

    You're stuck in China for 3 months. On top of that if you made this region migration with the sole intent of circumventing the marketplace system to get free content or games you can face a ban. Accidental migration isn't really possible.

  3. Account is stuck after attempting account migration

    I was trying to do an account migration but it didn't work, even though I've got the confirmation email saying that the migration is complete. Now my account is stuck in the old region while my gold subscription is transferred to the new region. I heard
    that it has something to do with the beta as I signed up for it, and I've posted in beta forum as well. AT LEAST MS SHOULD WARN PPL NOT TO USE ACCOUNT MIGRATION WHEN THEY HAVE BETA!!!! Either move my subscription back to my old region OR move my account to
    my new region. This is extremely frustrating especially when I was expecting something cool from the beta and now I've got so f***ed up.

    Region migration stuck

    It can take up to 30 days for everything to sort itself out when you change region.

    You could phone support for your region to make sure everything went through properly.

    It can take up to 30 days for everything to sort itself out when you change region.

    You could phone support for your region to make sure everything went through properly.

    I was told a few months ago that I could only migrate my region once a year or so, so I had always been waiting to migrate it back and then, lo and behold, they made it impossible to do so. So I was stuck with russian. And yes, the account is continuously
    connected to live while trying to play it.

    If the account migration FAQ was still available I could link you to it, but it did state the the region migration was irreversible. In 12 months you could migrate your account to one of the other 9 regions that were available through the tool, but if you
    had originally migrated from a region such as the US or UK, there was no way to migrate back to those regions.
