Region Migration not working - 5 months in

Hi,

I've been trying to migrate my Xbox Live account from the UK to the US for about 5 months. My account is fully paid up, I have no recurring subscriptions or anything, and easily meet any other requirements.

I've opened a few tickets with support, and don't seem to get very far. We've tried every combination of account changes possible and it still doesn't work. I've called up twice, spent hours on IM with various representatives, and generally have just not
had much luck at all!

I'm sort of trying this as a last resort, after which I'll just give up and make a new GamerTag. Does anyone have any other ideas on what might work?

region migration not working

to all my friends, people who personally sent messages and to all readers-- just another note. i did try to create another gamertag as told by connectivity department after gold time expired. i still have all the same connection problems
and did try to fix with that gamertag. found out the servers are now running at slow speeds and it did not matter which game i was playing. a lot of other gamers experienced the same problems. we( the networking department) checked the xbox, modem and everthing
seemed fine. they said my connection speed clocked well above of what was needed. so DO NOT CREATE NEW GAMERTAG TO FIX MIGRATION PROBLEM. i hope this saves someone time and money

Do you have any currency listed on your account? You can check at commerce.microsoft.com. If you have currency on your account then you must spend it before migrating.

I checked, no balance on my account. I don't have any recurring subscriptions either (aside from Xbox Live itself I suppose, although that isn't due for months). Any other ideas would be appreciated!

Hey there. Sorry to hear about your account region migration issues.

There's a few things that can stop you from migrating your account.

1. You changed region in the last 3 months.

2. You have an active suspension (enforcement or otherwise) on your account.

3. You have an active Entertainment For All contract.

4. You're a minor in the current region but won't be a minor in the target region.

5. You're not a minor in the current region but will be a minor in the target region.

If the account migration FAQ was still available I could link you to it, but it did state the the region migration was irreversible. In 12 months you could migrate your account to one of the other 9 regions that were available through the tool, but if you
had originally migrated from a region such as the US or UK, there was no way to migrate back to those regions.

You will have to wait the 3 months before you can change your region. Before you migrate your region it does warn you to go ahead and redownload everything because licenses can change after migration and nothing is guaranteed to work afterwards.
