    Region Locked Trying to Change Gamertag


    I am trying to make payment for changing my Gamertag. However, when entering my card details, the country was locked to United States. My billing info and everything on my account are already set to my country (Malaysia). But it's somehow still locked when I try to make payment on changing my gamertag. What do I do now?

    For your question regarding how to add your card in specific region, you may consider adding your card first in your Microsoft account by using this link - Microsoft Account | Payment Options. Next, go to this link - Choose your new gamertag | Xbox to update gamertag and complete the payment by selecting the card that you added.

    Malaysia iS NOT a xbox live region

    You can Only use xbox live regions

    Why I can't change my gamertag??

    You should be able to change your gamertag from any country. If you're trying to change it from the website and it's locking you to the US, change the region in the bottom left corner of the site.
