Region locked languages, no reaction on Xbox Feedback website

Dear Xbox support,

it has been over a year now that the following "idea" was posted: Xbox Ideas, powered by UserVoice

Since than I was unable to find any response from Microsoft or Xbox at all. The post has 5813 votes now and for a "customer support" I think it is appropriate to at least give us an explanation. This issue was posted quite often in this forum and in every
case I found they were asked to poste/vote on this issue on Xbox Feedback. They did and nothing happend.

Please take care that an answer from the support will be given to the idea that is linked above.

Language Problem

There is a HUGE problem with the language setting on xbox. It's kind of region locked so you cant just choose the language you want. Check this thread on the feedback forum. I have the same problem. My Belgian xbox is mostly french...

If MS have no plan fixing this "bug" at least say so.

I have watched this issue on the feedback site and we have got nowhere. I am amazed that Microsoft have got away with such blatant breach of consumer and human rights..

Also European gamers subsidise USA gamers with the prices we pay for kit and games. Microsoft only cares about American users. #RegionismIsRacism

 

recently bought a xbox one, encountered the language lock issue while setting it up, so i proceeded to find a solution online but all i found was dozens of posts, some of which are over a year old, all of them reporting the issue but not even a single answer
from MS... seriously? thats somewhat pathetic in my honest opinion.

 

Hey, guys! I'm sorry to see any issues selecting the language that you would like to set your console to. The only way to get your voice heard is by voting for a suggestion on the Feedback site. The process isn't instant, and doesn't guarantee that it will
be added. It's a sound board for engineers and the like to see what functions users like yourselves want.

If we believe we are going to implement a certain feedback suggestion, we will post a comment on there. You can see this by checking out items that are already marked as "in progress". We're unable to assist you further with feedback suggestions here, so
please continue to make your voice heard by voting on the feedback site!
