Region locked code

Well, My uncle from the U.S. came to visit us in Mexico and it just so happens that he brought me as a present a Fallout 4 copy which happened to include a Fallout 3 redeemable code but it appears that i cannot redeem it since it's region locked so i was
wondering if it would be possible to replace the code i got to one that works in my region.

If a BD has no region coding then what is there to prevent it from playing?

Of course the console itself will be locked to Region B for the UK as all UK Blu-ray players are.

That code should not be region locked, as all of those Fallout 3 codes are universal. What may be going on is that your Xbox Live account region does not match the region you're physically located in. If you live in Mexico, please migrate your Xbox Live

I tried migrating my xbox live account but it still fails to redeem the code

Hmm. If you migrated your account to match your location (Mexico), that's a good first step. Does your account have a proper billing address and payment method on file? You can check to see (and add if necessary) via your
Microsoft Commerce account.

Give that a go and see if that works at all.

 

Still won't redeem the code

also i forgot to mention that i had previously sought help via the contact support and they were the ones that told me that it had something to do with the code being for the game was for the 360 and that that was why it was region locked.

 

Like Mister Beep explained above, the codes are universal and Fallout 3 isn't region locked. However since it's a code for an Xbox 360 game, having a payment method and proper billing address on your account is important and can impact redemption. Do you
have an Xbox 360 handy that you can try redeeming the code on? If the website isn't working, sometimes the console will work.

It appears it was in fact the billing info but the thing is it the problem was that every time i tried to redeem the code for some reason the MX - Personal account would swap to

ES - Personal account why? i don't know but maybe it was because the xbox website was defaulted in Spanish (Spain) and well i just recently noticed
