    A problem with the activation of gift codes Gears of War

    The codes are universal so they are not region locked. Gears 1 and 3 are region locked. So if your account region does not match your physical location, that will give you issues redeeming the codes.

    Can't redeem fallout 3 code after purchasing fallout 4.

    Hey Cunningapple360,

    The reason you may be running into issues redeeming that code is due to you being physically located in Bulgaria while your account is set to Greece. Unfortunately Bulgaria is also not an Xbox Live supported region, which may also cause issues redeeming
    that code.

    Since you mentioned you moved from US to Greece earlier in the thread, you should be able to redeem that code when you get back to Greece since Greece is an Xbox Live supported region and your account is set to it.

    Some codes are region locked. Your friend would have to return the code and buy a code for your region.

    He would contact support and speak to billing. But to get a code for your region he would need to purchase it from a retailer with codes for your region. Games from gifting on Xbox are region locked.

    Thanks for reaching out to us here on the forums with this situation. I understand you're having trouble redeeming a code from your Xbox One. In this instance it is pretty important what region the code itself is from. If the code is from a different region
    it may not be able to be redeemed while not in the region the code is from. Hope this helps.

    The codes can be redeemed on the One or website. Usually the issues with redeeming the codes is a region issue. The game is region locked. So in order to download, your account region and your physical location have to match and you have to live in a region
    where the game is available.
