Region issue

What are you trying to do? I am trying to change my region back to the US because the region I am in I don't speak the language as I am here working temporarily. My native language is English and my region language is German.
Since updating the region everything related to my Xbox live gold account is either unavailable or available in German only. Unfortunately my German is not that good.

Any error code/message you are receiving. I was getting an "out of region" code which is why I switched regions.

Account region. Originally my region was US but now it's Switzerland. I want to switch it back.

What steps have you already tried?

I tried contacting Xbox support via chat and phone call. Both agents told me there's nothing that can be done and I have to wait 90 days before switching it back. I literally switched it a few hours ago and realized I had made a big mistake when all
the movies and games are now in German. They don't even come with English sub-titles. None of the warnings mentioned this only that some of my original US content might not be accessible. That would have been fine but it should have also said "Oh, by the way
we'll be defaulting everything to German including your navigation within your Xbox live account so if your German isn't so good you might want to leave it alone and just deal with the occasional "out of region" error code."

Is there any way to change my region back to US before the 90 days?

Account region issue

I just got a used XBOX 360.
I live in Cyprus, where XBOX Live is not supported, so i decided to choose UK as my country (did the same with PSN). I was planning on topping up my account with pre-paid cards.
I managed signing up for XBOX Live trial and i also purchased 4 codes for Gears of War games from ebay. I managed redeeming the first one (using a VPN on my PC) and initiated the download on my console, i left it downloading and went to sleep.

Today, i couldnt find the game in my games list. I went through the purchase history, the game was there, but the Play option just redirected me to the "My games" section. So, i decided to download it again, assuming download was interrupted somehow. And around 80% download stopped and i didnt see any error message (i might have missed it). But after some google search, i found out it has something to do with the region (probably my actual IP is d

Hey there,

When you sign onto your Xbox Live account, you will be connected to your local server. In terms of the games, I do believe you connect to people within different servers that are around the world. This means, I am correct, you will always be playing with
different people from different countries.

On Black Ops 3, I am unaware of any option which allows you to just connect with people from your country, and maybe your always been matched with people from different countries that are online and are looking for other people to join their public lobbies.
As I understand it, the system matches you up the best it can in lobbies that you have good connection to.

Although, I could be wrong and I could have missed something. If you are wanting to play with people from your region, why not post in the discussion forums in your region, asking if some of the community here would play with you - that are from your region?

Yes if they are saying you have to wait 90 days then you have to wait 90days

Actually it is mentioned 3 times that your original content may not or wouldnt be available in the next regiom you are asked this 3 times to confirm the move and the warning is listed every time

Nor is it recommended that it be used for temporary moves

It is meant for actual moves

English isnt a universal language nor is all content american what applies in the us may not apply in another country
