region error when trying to rent movie on Xbox 360

Good evening

I am from Montreal and tonight wanted to rent am ovie on the xbox with the kids but kept getting a message that purchase was not available in my region. I did not changed anything on my xbox except for adding the xbox wireless adapter

So what is wrong here and how can i fix it ?

I purchased disney planes on xbox one but it wont play on my Xbox One , but i rented it again on my Xbox360 and it played ? help please..

I purchased the movie Disney planes from Xbox Video on my Xbox One and I was charged , but it wont play the movie , it keep saying cant play video cause am not in the region of my profile .. but I am in the same region being Great Falls , Virginia USA...I
bought the movie planes again but this time on my Xbox 360 in Xbox Video and the movie played , can anyone help me and seeing why this is happen , I can rent movies and it will play on my Xbox 360 , but when I rent movies on my Xbox one , it says cant play
because am not in the region of my profile, FYI just so you know when I first got my Xbox One I was able to play all my movies and TV shows I bought from my Xbox360 but now it's saying the same thing . I just noticed this Yesturday , Sunday December - 15
- 2013 , this is my first time trying to buy a movie on my Xbox One , I was able to buy Killer Instinct Ultra Edition.. I was refunded from Xbox Support for the movie not working on Xbox One..I just want help on getting movies to work..

 

Rent Movies?

I have a Xbox 1 and I am trying to rent a movie. When i try to rent a movie i get a notification that says that i can not buy or rent videos right now. The reason it gives me is that i need to be in the region for my xbox profile. After going online and
trying to change it my profile sets the language to the area that i am in. i do not understand the local language so is there any way i can change my region without changing the language setting?

 

Is your gamertag's region set to Canada or another country? If it is then perhaps the movie just is not available where you are.

Yes my gametag is suppose to be region set to Canada and i tried 2 other movies and got the same message last month i renteds movies without any problem

That is definitely a strange issue. I can't see why movies would be listed that are not available in Canada. I would recommend contacting phone support for more assistance on this.

I'm having this same issue but I am in the U.S. This problem been going on for 3 days now. It's very annoying that I cannot rent or make purchases and I wish Microsoft will make a formal announcement to at least let us know that they are aware of the issue
and they are working on it.

 

Phone support not being available today i got into chat with support. The lady i chatted with kept telling me that movies might just not be available in my region. I gave her 3 titles and she wrote back " i tried you title and it is not available in Canada
right now"

When i asked why and why i was able to view the movie preview but was not allowed to download it she could not answer .....said i tried with a new relase, a tv serie and was having same issue

Even let her know that also suddenly i do not have access to gold free games and promo on the xbox360 but was able to view it on the website but when trying to download the free game from website was sent to another page asking for $9,99 .

Told her that i think that clearly there must a a problem with my account all i got as an answer was to call support to get an update

 

Hey, guys! You don't need to call support. If you would please direct your attention to this thread with the post by airmattdog (near the bottom there), he's got news that they
are aware of the problem for those living in Canada. They don't have an estimated time for a fix, though. But keep an eye out for when we know when it's fixed!
