I used to play xbox 360 with any games. PAL or NTFS... not to mention i bought my device from Dubai (UAE)

Recently I updated my xbox 360 and then, i cant play any NTFS games anymore...

I used to (and still can) play NTFS games like Batman Arkham Asylum or Batman Arkham City

but new game (EVIL WITHIN) says your region code is not compatible...Same as DEAD SPACE (first game)

Now I'm facing this trouble and someone told me I can break the code for 120$ but there's a 50/50 chance that my device either works or will gets bricked!

Please inform me fast because I'm truly confused...

Leisure Suit Larry: magna cum laude - uncut

I bought this game off ebay, but when I put it in to play, it says this:

"The region code for this game does not match your console's region code. Please insert a game with the correct region code.

X: 5829.0 B: 1884.0

Is there anything that can be done to fix this and get it to play on my Xbox (360)?

I believe that UAE is a PAL country. Perhaps the game you played before were region free games whereas some of the newer games are locked to regions.

Modding your console is against the ToU and CoC of the Live service and could result in your console and/or gamertag being banned from Live entirely.

That error code usually means the code doesn't match the region of your account. Was the code purchased in the same region as your account?

this troubleshooter and verify that the region of your account is tied to your current locale. Cross-region accounts aren't supported and can cause some trouble when it comes to redeeming
a code.

And we need the specific error numbers and what it says

Is it a region error or this is not valid code

If ms points are region locked if you created an account in a region that you do not live in and buy

The wrong region codes like buying us dlc or ms points when you are tryIjg to redeem on a uk account it will come back as invalid

What error message/error code do you receive when you try redeeming the code? What region is your account set for and what region are physically located in?
