Region change, billing address, etc.

My XBox account was set for US but I'm now living in Germany and need to switch everything wrt credit cards and the like.

I've done "How to update your account if you move to a new country or region" (shows Germany now) but when I try to enter my data for credit cards (through the XBox360) I'm getting entry forms which show US states.

- does it take a while to switch over?

- do I need to make a new account?

So I bought an Xbox one in the US and made an account when I was still over there but when I came back the UK I found that I had to use a US address for paypal and credit cards. After a while looking about online I discovered that you could just change the
xbox location and migrate your region but it every time I try to change my billing address it directs me to the US billing page. Anyone have any ideas how I can get this fixed?

I'm also having this issue. Migrated my account to Brasil but the billing address forces me to enter a US address code. How long it takes for the account to be fully migrated? Thanks

You can try update your billing info through the website Sign in to your Microsoft account.

I think this is the best method.

You can check if yout xbox location is in Germany too, maybe it's in US location.

You don't need to create a new account. You can migrate your existing account by following the steps here: Update Microsoft account if Moving to a New Country or Region

Migrating account also migrates your games if avaialable in that region, Xbox live gold and game pass subscriptions, if you were subscribed.
