Regenerate challenges.

They wouldn't really be "Challenges" then would they?

They're there to "Challenge" you. Running around doing stuff in your comfort zone isn't a challenge.

Some people don't like challenges, they like having prestige levels handed to them like on Reach , Halo 4, and COD. Me I like to earn my way

 

Update:

After reaching Gen 5 Level 50 I still had zero gooser's. I kinda decided "screw it" and if it happens it happens, at least I still have fun killing stuff. While playing for a couple hours yesterday I don't know what happened but suddenly I got 4/5 gooser's
within 3 games of Attrition. Only one more to go!

 

only issue I had was win 100 games, got stuck with too many idiots that don't play the game mode correctly so you lose.

I understand what you are saying but the weapon challenges in this game feel more like an attempt to "keep" people playing rather than "encourage" people playing. This is just how I feel. I think being stuck at level 50 not being able to level up until
I acquire (x) amount of obscure kills isn't making me want to play the game for what it is. It just makes me want to only acquire those kills in that specific way. This I feel, takes away from any sort of strategy or attempt at competitive gameplay and leaves
me ( the end user) at a disadvantage in combat. So to respond to your comment they can have "CHALLENGES" that "CHALLENGE" me but some how integrate them in a way that keeps me interested in the game.

 

I agree with that statement, that they want to keep you playing versus encouraging you to. The challenges do indeed give you a better perspective of the gun needed, but once youre done with it, youre done with it. Your attention is taken away from the objective
of the game and just on getting your particular type of kill needed , titan/pilot/all enemies, til what? Gen 10, when theres nothing else to do?

I dont think the weapons need to be tweaked, in any fashion. I believe they all are capable of doing the same damage, more or less if used in the right scenario. Enough LTS game will show anyone that.

 

Thank you for agreeing with me Juggernaut and I also agree with you saying that the challenges open you up to new weapons and experiences in the game. However, this is something that is poorly implemented and like I stated before, something that is aimed
at keeping rather than encouraging. Challenges where you have kill ridiculous amounts of people in abstract ways is NOT opening me or anyone up to a new style of play. It is simply giving the general audience of the game unrealistic expectations. Especially
in a competitive multiplayer game. Challenges should be focused on things like winning and supporting your team not shooting 50 players out of the sky with a particular weapon. This benefits no one.

 

Yea theres no real team spirit. Everyone is off doing their own thing, killing this or that in some obscure way. Its rare for me to come across a room where there are actually players sticking with one another to get kills

 

Yes how about replacing some of the ridiculous challenges with ones like get 100 assists or get 10 kills while riding on a titan.

I do get what you're saying, and it does make sense... Possibly moreso since I've been doing the Gen 8 "Win 100 games" challenge. Before I was happy to play for the win, just doing my own thing in the process. This possibly is made worse due to matchmaking
not grouping same Gen's together... No-one is on the same page...

While I'm trying for GA24 rifle kills, I'm up against Shotty noobs blasting me to bits before I can get two shots off (that's just one example). This takes longer to complete certain challenges, and "takes me out" of the game somewhat. It's just never bothered
me before is all.

I do still enjoy the challenges, even as frustrating as they can be at times... But I get you're point.

you're welcome and I appreciate your response. Mostly there are some issues with the challenges and it seems like a small problem to most but for a game that only has a multiplayer mode, well this is a big deal. I feel this is yet another step in the wrong
direction for current and future games. It just feels like they tailored the challenges around dull unbalanced goals that don't make sense for a game of this nature. Hopefully in the future games like this will give people something to look forward to.

I guess it's a pretty polarizing gameplay mechanic... In the end, there's no real advantage to regenerating other than a tag and a number. You could just play it without regenerating and max out all the weapons and abilities... Playing solely for fun, K/D
ratio or stats in general... Whatever floats your boat.

I think if Titanfall's regeneration system had been around before the likes of CoD's Prestige system, it might be a slightly different story... Imo...
