Regards of the rep system being broken

So I was playing big team the other day on halo and me and one other random guy I was playing with just dominated the enemy team..we were playing flag and I was killing them as they were running out of the base...I made a kid so mad he went out out his way
to let me know his entire clan was going to report me...now I never msg or talk to ppl I don't know just because a lot of these ppl that play online are crybabies..so I ignored him..but that just made him even more mad..I was playing a little bit before work
and I was changing something on my dashboard...I notice my rep was green....I went to work was gone for about 5 hours cause we were dead and budget was low so I went home early...I get back home go to play big team with so old friends and we're not finding
anyone...after some trouble shooting I realize it's cause me rep has pretty much dropped from green to red in 5 hours and now I can't search....first I chat with a guy from xbox and he says when he sees my rep and its in the green...then tells me a good way
to fix it is to factory reset my console and recover my gamertag...you know as well as I do that wouldn't have worked...so he tells me to make a post on the forums in the enforcement section..I pled my case and get ignored...I call a day later on my way to
work and the lady says the only way to get it to go up is to play games without ppl reporting you...that's a little helpful ...so now coming up on the 5th or so day I've been playing battlefield hardline,smite and world of tanks...my rep has not moved even
a little...I called yesterday and the only advice the guys could give me was to go into games and suck on purpose..he told me go in and lose on purpose...don't get me wrong he was a very nice guy...but I play games to have fun I'm not doing that...why should
I have a low rep because these horrible players get mad and report you when they don't get their way...they say you can't abuse the rep/reporting system but we all know that's a lie...I pay for my subscription with my hard earned money...I'm not a child getting
mad when I lose and report and block that person so I don't find them again...this needs to be fixed asap...I know I'm not the only one...I know tons of nice ppl that do nothing but help others and is just good at the game...why should we fall subject to your
terrible rep system ?.... sorry for the long post everyone...if anyone knows a better way to get your undeserving bad rep up plz comment...

Not sure how it works anymore, just that it's a broken system.

The new system for X1 won't be any better.

I forsee being spammed with messages asking for good rep or some kind of "good rep for cash" scam!

This is exactly what happened to me. Same scenario. It is dumb and there is no validity in the reports and complaints from others, other than they suck at games. I am with you man. Rage reporting...

I'm wondering if there's something you're not telling us, like HOW you were killing them in Halo so effectively (or maybe what you may have done after the fact). For example, you could've been cheating or doing something incredibly cheap to warrant a report
for "unsporting behabior" or being verbally abusive. There's no way we'll actually know.

An entire clan reporting you will NOT make your rep drop, as numerous reports for the same thing around the same time all get lumped into a SINGLE report. Furthermore, they will have had to have played with you or have interacted with you in some way for
their reports to even be considered legitimate, so most of their reports would be ignored from the get go (and future reports from them will be more likely to be ignored).

Out of interest though. You posted "Due to Issues" with the rep system the Enforcement Team are asking for people to post. So are they saying there is a problem or am I reading it wrong?

They're not saying anything but due to the volume of threads & complaints they've reopened up the xbox one enforcement forum just for enquiries about the rep system so to me that says they are aware that somethings not right.

 

I think it's my laptop mate. It's having one of them moments today with a few sites lol

Where is the sticky that explains how they do that?

This is the only reputation/anti-cheat system that I know of that keeps the "how" a big secret rather than explaining exactly how the system works.

For MS to confirm that a complaint for communication or any other violation that can't be tracked by software they would need to record voice/video for every multiplayer game. If that were the case and they explained they could do it then we would see a
drastic drop in the bad behavior yet they haven't and we still have the same idiots being idiots........but amazingly some of you still see the system as a success.

 

Randver, do you really think someone who developed a System such as Rep or Enforcement would really go through and explain specifics? Yeah right, that is just asking for trouble.

Let's see how that works.

If you Team Kill more then 5 times in one hour and someone complains within 2 days of said event your Rep will go down. Cool then, I'll just keep it under 4 times in one hour.
