    Regarding my elite controller 2


    Every time I go in to Xbox accessories I try to either change my name or configure my elite controller It just crashes and doesn’t do anything I’ve updated the controller and it’s brand new.

    This is on the Xbox series x

    Could really do with some help

    That’s odd… you can try this:

    A. Power cycle your console and try again
    1. Turn off your console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds, until it shuts down completely.
    2. Unplug the console's power cable from the console and from the power outlet. Wait 5 minutes.
    Important: Be sure to wait at least 5 minutes. This step resets the power supply.
    3. Plug the console power cable back in.
    4. Press the Xbox button on your console to turn it on.

    B. Try factory resetting the console using the troubleshooting menu:
    “ Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off.
    Wait 30 seconds, and then plug the power cord back in.
    Press and hold the Pair button (located on the left side of the console) and the Eject button (located on the front of the console), and then press the Xbox button  on the console.
    Note The Xbox Series S and the Xbox One S All-Digital Edition do not have Eject buttons. You can bring up the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter on these consoles by holding only the Pair button (steps 3 & 4) and then pressing the Xbox button .
    Continue holding the Pair and Eject buttons for 10-15 seconds.
    Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. You can release the Pair and Eject buttons after the second power-up tone.
    The console should power up and take you directly to the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter.”

    Well I’ve removed my insider account completely and went to reset my Xbox to have nothing happen when I want to reset console to change to factory settings just doesn’t do anything and useing a different controller

    Thank you, double check if the console is using an insider build and leave the program following these steps:

    “ Launch the Xbox Insider Hub on your Xbox or a Windows device.
    On the main landing page, select Settings.
    Select Manage devices and choose the one you want to remove from the program.
    Select Done.
    Note This process typically takes about 10 minutes to complete. It might help to know the serial number or name of your previous console to ensure you remove the correct one.
    As part of the removal process, your Xbox may undergo a factory refresh. If a factory refresh is required, your games and apps won’t be erased, but any profiles or system settings saved to the console will need to be restored after the refresh is complete.”

    Hello thanks for getting back to me i think this Xbox is part of the insider program unfortunately I don’t not have a pc or other Xbox to test it on other console or pc.

    I’ve tried to uninstall the app but doesn’t seem to want to delete it.

    Additional information is needed, please tell me:
    Are you using an insider build / beta OS in your console?
    If not, did you tried reinstalling the accessories app or connecting your controller to a different Xbox or PC to see if the issue persist there?
    And what did you tried so far to fix this
    In that way I can advise you different things or how to proceed
