    regaining a little control


    Hi, i'm a non xboxing Dad, my son understands more about this than i ever will.

    In the beginning we set up a family account that my Son's profile sat in, a while back my son created a new profile/account, he claimed the original was corrupted. we have no control over this. i'm not overly concerned about that, he generally plays with
    his friends on Fortnite. What does concern me is that he spends any money he gets solely on this. Its his money and his choice but he doesn't save up

    for anything just spends as soon as he gets it.

    I'm concerned that he's not learning any discipline and that its tempting to find ways of spending what he doesn't have.

    He has agreed to surrender control of his passkey to us, which i believe stops him changing settings or spending without our permission. Is that correct? Could he circumvent this if he had a mind to?

    Alternatively i believe we'd have to re-integrate this account into a family account? will this affect his account?

    i'd appreciate advice on this matter

    Hi LumberingGlint.

    Thank you for reaching out to the forum. No account gets 'corrupted', but it might have been banned for breaching code of conduct. But as i remember, you should be notified if that happens. I would recommend getting his account under the family settings
    again, so you have full control.

    If so will this affect any of his current settings or anything he has added to that account?

    If they just took away your modded achievements you lose very little. 500 odd gamerscore isn't all that much to regain legitimately but 30,000? Now we're cooking with gas.
