Refunds on Digital games

I got a digital game question for all of ya. Will I be able to get a full refund on digital games for games that I don't like that much?

I heard you can get a refund on digital games if you've played within a certain time or something, which I have with dead by daylight, I played less than 30 minutes game time, well two matches but was wondering if that's possible? I had tried the online
chat but it doesn't seem to be working for me.

 

The answer is no. It is possible to get refunds if you call support but not liking the game isn't really a valid reason

 

I think you get one refund, per lifetime on games. As least that's what someone at Xbox customer service told me. I got a refund once on some digital gear that was mistakenly charged to my card multiple times.

 

I know that you can get refunds sometimes. I received on because the game would not let me us my MS credit and the CS rep had us try to select the CC, confirm, and the we would get the option to use the credit which did not happen. So the CS rep. refunded
the game. And I know a guy who received 2 refunds because the games were broken at launch for a few weeks and he was not going to be home for a while. Called in and they refunded him both times. But the games were broken pretty badly for him and many others.

I do doubt they will refund for just not liking a game. Would be nice if they gave refunds when you have played less than 1-2 hours. Or even 45 minutes. Have a refund button that works if the time is less than that or something.

The only possible way to get a refund would be to contact support right after you purchased the game, like immediately after hitting "Confirm" and reading the very large letters that states "All transactions final, NO REFUNDS"

 

Not simply because you didn't like it.

But in the UK under distance selling laws, if you're not speaking to a person when you make the purchase you have the right to a return and a refund within a certain period, despite Microsoft putting a "No Refunds" text on their marketplace.

 

Just tell them the game doesn't work properly and you want your money back.

 

Not sarcasm at all. I called support last Jan 2014 with an issue and they said the policy is one refund per year, no questions asked. Obviously not if you played for two or three weeks.

 

I've only heard of people getting refunds for games/DLC which were completely broken upon release. I never knew of this "one refund per year" rule.

 

They told me once a year for DLC, and once a lifetime for games. No questions asked.

Probably changes depending on who you speak to. lol

 

Yea, I'm calling BS on the "one refund a year"..... the consumer is TOTALY responsible for there purchase... it's not like the X1 is holding a gun to there head saying BUY ME!.... if you people don't understand Google / Youtube, well, then, they are going
are going to have a very hard difficult life... unless the government has some special program for them... which as society is going there probabaly will be.... end rant/
