Refunding Microsoft account credit

Good day

If you bought something with credit that is on your microsoft account it will be refunded to your account. Terms and conditions apply.

If you bought via your bank, paypal etc it will be refunded into there.

Any credit that is attached to your Microsoft account can be used for anything Microsoft related. Wont be able to use Microsoft credit to use for example Steam as it is 2 different companies.

Sorry to hear you ran into this issue with the billing. I would advise going through the

Refund Request Webform to attempt and get the refund for the transaction so that you can purchase it fully with your debit/credit card.

Give it a try and let us know if it has helped.

When you purchase items it asks in the payment method how to pay for it, even if you have a credit on your account. Has for me every time.

The truth is I'm not entirely sure, as you will see in this forum, we are just gamers, just like you, we are not Microsoft employees, but logically it should, that is, the credit is applied to the original payment method. . that you used to make the purchase. The purchase is normally like this. If you paid by credit card, the credit will be applied to your credit card account. If you paid with PayPal, the credit will be applied to your PayPal account. If you paid with a Microsoft gift card, the credit will be applied to your Microsoft account.

The credit would be applied as soon as possible, depending on whether it could be within 3 to 5 business days or more.

To check the status of your refund, you can go to your order history on the Microsoft Store page. If the refund was processed successfully, you will see the status "Refunded" next to the order.

It should have been a credit back to the account that was used to buy the game.

Marvel Heroes Omega was removed from the Microsoft Store on November 29, 2017, and the game is no longer available to play. If you purchased downloadable content (DLC) for the game then you will receive an automatic credit or refund to your account as follows:

• You will receive an automatic credit or refund if you purchased Marvel Heroes Omega DLC from the Microsoft Store between September 1 – November 29, 2017.
  
• For Marvel Heroes Omega DLC purchased between October 31 - November 29, 2017, your refund will be credited to your original payment instrument.
  
• For Marvel Heroes Omega DLC purchased between September 1 - October 30, 2017, your refund will be in the form of store credit.
  

Your refund or credit will appear in your account by January 31, 2018. The credit you receive will be in the currency matching your Microsoft account.

The issue was a little tricky at the time since the system was supposed to do an auto refund and Xbox Support was not able to process a refund.

Check your account to locate the initial purchase here -

You can see the purchase/refund history of your account there.

If you see the purchase but no refund, you can contact Xbox Support for assistance. I believe the agent will need to get supervisor approval for a refund since it was supposed to be done already.

They may even be aware of an issue with refunds not processing as well.

Check your account for the purchase/refund and then contact support after that.
