Refunding an invalid transaction

So I was trying to get a 75 € gift card through the marketplace on my laptop, and last night before microsoft stated they were having issues with payment and invoicing. So I made the payment and got charged for it but did not receive the code or a confirmation
email! I basically got charged for nothing but it cannot be valid. MIcrosoft support was unavailable last night and it is still unavailable now so if anyone has any suggestions please let me know

Wow. Okay, so I found the issue. There was a 1 month gap from when my account was up for renewal and Microsoft posting the transaction. Microsoft posted the transaction 1 month later, so during that month my profile was apparently invalid.

Can't download purchased game.

Ok, I just found a page that shows all my transactions, it shows that I was charged for Forza 5 and then they are refunding me $59.99. My bank account doesn't show that refund, but it might not have updated yet. I'll post updates.

 

is it in your order history or not? if it is you may receive it a little later if it's not the only solution is to wait and contact support once is available again.

 

Yeah it's not in my order history, I should have specified. I'm just worried because I see i a lot of stuff that is intended as non-refundable when purchased through the store, but legally they can't not give me the code or refund me the money I paid.

if it is not in your order history it is highly unlikely you have been charged for the item. To get a refund you must provide evidence that you did in fact purchase a gift card and were charged for it.

 

yeah i get that but im seeing my bank statement and I was charged but support isnt open so Im sitting here patiently
