    Refunding a purchase


    My step son bought minecraft Java edition for PC, I have a Paypal receipt for £17.95 on 02/12/20

    It's my own fault as working from home means my PC is left on.

    I'd like a refund. The purchase does not for some reason show in my history, yet here we are, a full version of Minecraft and a matching paypal receipt.

    I have the transaction ID and Order ID in an email from Mojang.

    Both Mojang or Microsoft deny responsibility in various emails I've sent requesting a refund. Mojang say it was bought with a Microsoft account, and MS say it's not in the purchase history.

    Any help? I'm considering raising it with Paypal and my credit card company.

    The only valid reasons for a refund are, the game doesn't work, or it was a purchase error. Other than that all digital purchases are non refundable and therefore no refunds.

    You could try contacting 1-800-4MY-XBOX to ask, but generally speaking, all sales are final.

    I purchased Lords of the Fallen in the live marketplace and it is by far the worst rpg Ive ever played. Im looking for a copy of Two Worlds to get the bad taste out of my mouth. So now I can't even get a refund or at least have something to trade in. Lesson
    learned...I will no longer purchase games in the xbox live market place.
