refunding a game that was purchased without being signed in

I purchased and downloaded Minecraft Java today, when I meant to buy the Windows 10 Edition. I have tried requesting a refund through Contact Microsoft Support, but neither of my Microsoft accounts show any purchases in their order history. I don't want to spend another $30, so this is incredibly frustrating. Advice?

Just a friendly reminder though that requesting a refund for Minecraft Java Edition can be done through Mojang support.

you can play GTA V story mode offline without being connected to the internet.

if it is the digital version then the Xbox has to be the Home Xbox for the account that purchased the game or the profile that purchased the game needs to be signed in.

In your order history does it still show the game purchase as being complete or does it show as being refunded?

If it is still showing as complete then you would need to contact xbox support again to find out what happened.

If it is show as refunded the money would go back on to the payment instrument that originally purchased the game. I know paypal can take up to 30 days for them to show back on your paypal account.

If it is showing as refunded in your purchase history then it is out of MS hands at that point and up to your bank to put the money back into your account.

First I Suggest is that you go into you Microsoft account and check if he has repurchased the digital content again because when you refunded it. since you download the game they will just basically be a waste of space because when you try to start the game
it's should redirect you to the Microsoft it purchase it.

To make Sure that your In control of what is being purchased go to setting>account>sign-in, security & passkey. Press A on Change my sign-in & security preferences> go to Ask for my passkey> put in you custom passkey. by doing this the next time he tries
to purchase anything without your permission will require that passkey.
