Refund using my console

I failed to download a digital xbox 360 game , can I make a refund using my console ?

This happens to me as well. I do not believe this is a problem with your optic cables. Unless the lines stays or the screen begins to 'tear' then do not worry about it.

My reading of the OPs post regarding being locked out is that it is the updates doing it? Maybe the OP doesn't have overly good internet and so downloading updates takes a lot of time and all the bandwidth? Least that's the way that part reads to me.

To the OP: Unfortunately, game updates are up to the Developer of the game, not Microsoft. Some games simply will not function unless updated. However, if you put your console into offline mode, then a lot of games should be playable (unless you want to play Multiplayer stuff of course) without needing to update. You could then simply put it back in to online mode when you aren't going to be playing and let it update at that time. Doesn't resolve the space issue of course but would solve the issue of bandwidth etc

terms of the service require your Xbox be up to date to access live and therefore most games, choose not to update then you cannot access live.

the GameStop issue with storage size and refunds is a GameStop issue not Microsoft.

the Xbox is your property yes, the software is not, neither is the service, when buying a game you get a licence to play that game, break the rules and you can be stopped from playing online simple.
