    I'm having similar problems. I bought an item for my son, on his account. He logged in (away from home) and thought while buying something else he made an error so requested a refund.

    I had a refund notification come through, so immediately told microsoft NOT to process the refund (the e-mail sent to me, says to respond to this e-mail if you no-longer require the refund). I also told my son the purchase was deliberate.

    We carry on life as normal, but then several days later the transaction was refunded, despite us telling microsoft not to do that.

    I re-sent the e-mail. I still haven't had a reply. I went on the online chat, who are completely unable to help and completely unable to tell me why the refund was processed anyway.

    I asked for a transcript of the chat to go towards a formal complaint. I was told I would get this in 30 minutes... several hours later I still don't have it.

    No idea what microsoft is doing.
