Refund Page 404 and long support wait time

Hi all,

I made a purchase by mistake today, but each time I go to the Refund page, whether I access it via Orders section or directly via xbox.com/refunds, it greets me with a 404 page. I went through the support section and ended up in a live chat, which I seem
to have been waiting over 2 hours and no response. I tried phone but was on queue for an hour or so before I gave up and left it on the chat.

I saw a info pop up about refunds service potentially having issues, but can't find an official service degradation notice.

Can I get some confirmation of this issue, or it the refund service page has moved, can I get a definitive link to that please? This has grown mildly frustrating.

I think live chat can deal with refunds directly now, ask them to do it. pretty sure that's what they told me last time anyway

Just to mark this thread as solved as such, the refund page has become available again this morning and I have been able to lodge a request. Thanks again for the replies.

This link will hopefully help you as it will guide you through the refund request process for digitally purchased games. If you know your account history and details, there is also a contact us section with a live chat option that will hopefully be able
to guide you through the refund process as well, just remember to ask to speak to a real person on the virtual chat to get through to the right person that can help you with your request, as this is how I completed a refund request for a pre ordered game that
I accidently deleted from my console and couldn't find again to download properly. Good luck and all the best, hope everything works out for you.

Thanks for the reply. I have spoken to someone via the Live Chat and they gave me a reference number for the time being, but were unable to solve my issue or by the seems, issue my refund. However I am still experiencing this issue, and in fact, only today
did I actually receive an email with a receipt of my purchase which I find unusual it took so long.

I will try Live Chat again tomorrow, and hopefully this can be sorted, because it is getting very long in the tooth.

Hi Fellow gamer,

Thanks for the replies. We recommend requesting a call from support, here is a guide to help get the right selection.

When you go to Contact Us,follow these steps to request a call from support:

Step 1 ----select Xbox One
Step 2 ----select see other options then subscription changes
Step 3-----select show contact options

Step 4 ----select request call from support

Once they call explain the issue and they will be able to help you. Note that these options regularly change so just keep selecting something that gives request a call from support as a contact option.
