    Refund on gift codes


    I bought my friend a code for the game from the minecraft store. The Minecraft: Java & Bedrock Edition for PC. I did not realize that I could not get it for him since he is French. He got the code, but when he tried to put it in, it said that the code was not for his region. We made another account for him hoping we could make this account in the US and I sent him a new gift code for that new account. When he put in this new code, the same message appeared. I would like a refund on both of those codes that he can't use.

    Codes have always been region specific

    You will have to contacr the retailer for a new code or a refund

    If it is a friend gift code

    Then no it cant be exchanged as gift codea are always region locked theyd have to refund it thru the system then find a local retailer for you to get a new code from

    Can the person who bought it then atleast get a refund?
    Not if the code was already redeemed, no.

    Gifted codes are only refundable if they havent yet been redeemed

    Codes can't be gifted to other regions. You will have to request a refund.

    You need to request the refund from where the gift code was bought, not where the code was redeemed, unfortunately.
