Refund on downloaded game

Today I purchased Evolve via game store on my xbox one. However I am not happy with the game (personally I feel the controls are sloppy and I don't enjoy the gameplay)m and feel as if I have just waster £54.99 on something I will never use.

Is there any way of getting a refund or credit (as on hindsight I'd prefer to have invested in Dying Light)? If so, how does one go about getting this?

As far as I know MS does not offer refunds on digitally downloaded games..

You would have to contact support to see if there is anything they can do. However, keep in mind that the marketplace does state that there are no refunds so there is no guarantee you will get one.

Did you try the options of
Self Service Refunds? This allows you to return a digital game if you're returning it within 14 days of purchase and have not played it for more than 2 hours.

Check this link for steps: How to return and get refund from Xbox Store via self service refunds

It involves going to account.microsoft.com, then go to your orders, and you should be able to see option for Refund, if that game is eligible for online refund. Else, have a chat with Xbox Support (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/contactus/),
and they are really helpful.

Thank you for reaching Microsoft Xbox Forum support.

All you need to do is go to msft.it/6017TSaPx, sign in using the account that bought the game, select the item you want a refund for and then request the refund!
After your refund request is approved it shall take from 3 to 5 business days for your money to be back!
