    Refund on Digital Games


    I was wondering if anyone could clarify the Microsoft Terms of Sale for me in regards to getting a refund on a digital purchase of a game.

    I have contacted support to make a request but have gotten generic responses twice now saying that I am not eligible for a refund. I have read the terms and it does say that digital games are not eligible for refund at all. But if so, why is there an option
    to apply for a refund on a digital version.

    I would also like to know if the people in the support centre are aware of the laws in the EU regarding the sale of goods online with regards to refunds

    "The European Union (Consumer Information and Cancellation and other rights) Regulations 2013”

    and to Irish consumer law regarding products being fit for purpose (“sale of goods act 1893 – Section 14” and “sale of goods and supply of services act 1980”), i.e, a game purchased to play online should have a continuous and steady connection to the servers
    provided. (I checked all of my own settings and connections).
