refund live for a year

Nothing can be done about that on the forums. You need to talk directly to support to for billing issues.

Just click on support up at the top, then choose Xbox One and then scroll down and select "Contact Us". From there, just follow the prompts and choose either live chat or to talk to them by phone.

I've had to talk to them before over billing problems, and they've always been great and fixed it right away.

if my Gold was originally bought with a prepaid card then I suppose that means asking for a refund would vanish a year's worth of prepaid xbox live since it can't refund me?

With everything Xbox Live has offered me over the years, there's no way I'm turning it all in for small stipend of a refund.

As mentioned above all Xbox Live Users are allowed one refund request per year!

For you to do this I would suggest you go onto the Xbox Support Chat ASAP to get the refund, they are sometimes very fussy about the way people get refunds.

The refund policy doesn't refer to the calender year. It's not too many refunds in 2022, it's too many refunds since March 2021. It's rolling year that they count.
