    I forgot to cancel auto renewal for my Xbox live gold membership, and I was recently charged, although I don't use my Xbox anymore, and I would like a refund

    HELP My Xbox bought a 1 month gold subscription automatically, even though i had it set not to auto renew.

    About a month ago i bought a one month gold membership, when it asked me if i wanted it to auto renew i said no.

    yesterday it not only auto renewed my gold membership, but it charged me $20 instead of the $10 a one month membership costs.

    so what i want is a full refund, my gold membership canceled, and my auto renew turned off like it's supposed to be.

    You would need to contact support
    here     as they are the only ones with access to your account & billing info & the only ones who can issue refunds.

    Sorry to hear it. However, it does specifically state that when you use a trial membership for Xbox Music that it will be automatically renewed unless the renewal is turned off. You can turn off the auto renewal on the console by going to Settings>Accounts>Memberships.

    Refunds are not usually offered for situations like this.

    To clarify, if you disable the auto-renew on your membership, once it expires you can purchase a recurring 12 month Xbox Live membership that auto-renews as well.

    No, your gold membership will not be affected even if you turn off Auto-Renewal.

    PLEASE NOTE: If you deactivate Auto-Renewal. Your Xbox LIVE Gold Membership will end on the date of expiration.
