Refund for MCC

Can someone at Xbox please explain how a broken game could be permitted release with the Xbox seal of approval?

Did you guys skip quality checks because 343i is in house Microsoft? Whatever the answer, it's inconsequential.. I'd like a refund for a game more broken than the latest installment of Duke Nukem.

Halo MCC refund.

Hi,

I was told by a MS rep via chat that I need to get a refund for the game from 343i and they sent me here for some reason.

Anyone know what I need to do?

I have had a few refunds on digital titles, I was refunded because they were broken and did not play properly, not because I thought they were rubbish games.

 

The game is not broken,there are just a few server issues at the moment that are being fixed.

If you bought the digital version of the game then it clearly states no refunds.

 

Nope. My physical copy came from the Microsoft Store.

Not lawsuit worthy, but refunds should be given for those who want. The game was clearly unfinished with occasional crashes and glitches popping up intermittently. But it's inexcusable for matchmaking to be in such a dysfunctional state. I bought the game
for multiplayer, and as this component is broken, the game is broken.

It'd be like if you paid for a steak dinner at Morton's, and your plate only came with potatoes and vegetables. Daren't you say you'd remain mum. You'd make a big stink after shelling out $50. The manager would probably comp your meal.

But Bonnie Ross is an incompetent VP and has approved the release of an unfinished game. To compound this, the PR response from 343 has been abysmal. When they explain 3 months from now that they'd been too busy developing DLC for you to buy rather than
optimizing matchmaking before launch, remember that your last iota of faith in the Halo brand was eroded when this game was released in a decayed state.

 

I say hit gamestop and return the game for instore credit before they catch on they are still offering $40 tradin credit I would take it now while you still can cause I bet it will be $10 before monday. then if they ever do fix this mess you can buy the
used game back at the point for 15 or 20 dollars. Its a shame halo 4 MP was a mess to! Fool me once shame on you fool me twice shame on me so if you think Im going to give halo 5 a min of my time or a penny of my money you are high and I want some of what

Call me a fool then, because I think Halo 5 will be the strongest release of the series. I will buy Halo 5 and it will be great.

MCC is not though. It is unfinished and should never have been released in it's current form. There has to be a responsible party. Ultimately, that lies withe the current head of 343, Bonnie Ross, as the final release has to be approved by the studio head.
New leadership is needed. I nominate someone with an abundance of passion for the franchise, current Creative Director, Josh Holmes. Enthusiasm would be a welcome change.

So what makes you think it will be "great"?

The Halo 5 MP beta is included with this game and if they cant get MCC MP to work what makes you think they are going to fair any better with Halo 5 beta or the game itself???

 

Look, MCC was a AAA disaster, but I'm confident that Microsoft will take this opportunity as the excuse to remove cancerous components from 343.

Halo 5 is completely different because Josh Holmes is leading the project...

Plus, gaming journalists who played at HaloFest have genuinely positive regard with the experience. Base traits and a return to equal footing is a huge component of what made Halo the marquee multiplayer experience. It will be a return to greatness.

 

Keep drinking that halo kool-aid kid playing on a LAN at a show and functioning on xbox live servers are two entirely different things. It doesn't matter about base traits or equal footing or map layout if you cant play the stinking game, what made it great
the 1st time was we could actually play the game! It worked fine 10 years ago and thats the last time it worked right!!

The single player works just fine as does custom games,just because you choose not to play them does not mean the game is broken or unfinished & definately not grounds for a refund.
