    On November 2, an automatic renewal of the Gamme Pass subscription took place. I canceled the subscription and I would like to return the money for the purchase. How to return the money?

    Xbox Live Gold cancellation and refund process fails with error

    When I log into my account I'm offered the option to cancel my Gold subscription which was recently erroneously renewed:

    "You still have 363 days of your Xbox Live subscription. You'll lose access immediately. We'll refund you $59.99. Once you confirm, this subscription can't be restored."

    However when I click "Confirm Cancellation" I'm taken to Sign in to your Microsoft account which says:

    "Try refreshing the page

    Something’s wrong on our side. For now, you may want to try searching for something else."

    Can you please process this cancellation and refund. Thanks.

    I was charged for two gamepass subscriptions.

    I'm AJ, an Independent Advisor for the Xbox Community.

    Whenever you upgrade subscriptions, you are charged for the first full month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, which is added to the converted time from your previous subscription. Paying for the price difference between subscriptions is not possible.

    • For example, if you had 90 days remaining of Xbox Game Pass for Console and converted to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, you'd have 68 days from your converted subscription + the first month you paid to upgrade.

    While your subscription to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate (the second charge) can be canceled, and depending on availability, even refunded, there is no way to revert the conversion from other subscription plans to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

    Please note that canceling Xbox Game Pass Ultimate would also mean canceling the converted time from your previous subscription, which I'm afraid can't be refunded.

    • For your reference, the following is mentioned in the "All about Xbox Game Pass Ultimate" FAQ page:

    "Note - The upgrade of any prepaid time can’t be reverted to Xbox Game Pass plans or EA Play, and it’s not eligible for refund."

    Unfortunately, swapping a Game Pass for Console subscription for Game Pass Core is not possible. In this case, I'd suggest:

    A) Upgrade to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate (Game Pass Core is included in this plan). You will be charged for the first month of Game Pass Ultimate but the remaining time on your Game Pass for Console subscription will be converted to Game Pass Ultimate at a 4:3 ratio.

    Or

    B) Cancel your subscription to Xbox Game Pass for Console and then subscribe to Game Pass Core. If you just paid for this subscription, there's a good chance you are eligible for a refund.

    You should be able to log into your account and go to subscriptions and cancel the subscription and receive an automatic refund for the unused portion of that subscription.
    Actually, no you don't get a refund for unused days. You are canceling the payment when you cancel Game Pass, but you have already paid for that month. So you will still have Game Pass for the month you paid for, it just will not renew the next payment for
    the following month. So at the end of the current month, that's when the Game Pass would stop.
