    Hi all,

    Zoo Tycoon was purchased in error as we assumed it was an Demo . Would there any one be kind enough to refund us the money spend on it?

    My Gamertag for Xbox one used is Blarix Da King (which ironically is been banned now )

    Well...customer service...

    They weren't entitled to anything, especially a refund because of their reasoning. Unless there was a legitimate reason such as an error code or a service outage, having a teething child and missing 10 minutes of a movie doesn't qualify.
    Yes it was nice of MS offering a refund to a committed customer but it wasn't warranted.

    Well for a refund you would need to contact phone support.
    support.xbox.com/contactus
    However, when you receive a ban you lose access to your content purchased and do not get a refund. Also the game was purchased due to user error, and most of the time refunds are only given for games that do not work.

    That's incorrect, I still have access to all my games which it should be. Games should be attached to the console not profile (only saves should be on accounts) .

  6. On content licences, it is tied to both your profile and console (not just your console), if your gamer tag is on the console other people may be able to play the content as long as your not signed into the banned account. And in the area of refund, no funds
    will be offered on any content purchase on a banned account.

    The only valid reasons for a refund are, the game doesn't work, or it was a purchase error. Other than that all digital purchases are non refundable and therefore no refunds.

    I would agree as to what ngocphi mentioned here, kindly give your bank a call first for only them can clarify the refunds origin.

    Based on Request a refund for digital games, the following are the conditions you need to met to request a refund and if you qualify you will receive one after you submit a request. Which you will receive after 3-5 business days and depending on your bank when it will be added to your card.

    • Requests are made within 14 days of the purchase date
    • Requests are for games in which you haven’t accumulated a significant amount of play time
    Note: As a limited exception, digital game products may be eligible for a refund within 30 days if you’re unsatisfied with the license agreement or warranty, but only if you do not make or retain any copies.

    Refund errors

    Can't ask for a charge you have to make your own purchase again hOWEVER CLEAR IT WITH YOUR card provider first

    Thats the usually cause for chargebacks

    Refunds are issued in 3 - 5 days after approval. If it hasn't been that long, I'll suggest you wait a bit longer. You'll get it as long as it has been approved.

    If so check account.microsoft.com

    If it has been approved and it has been 48-72hours since approval then it has already been issued to your bank

    Now it could take upto 5-7 business days if you live in North America and longer if international

    This is on your bank
