    Refund denial


    Less than two weeks ago my son bought a game without my knowledge. When you go to request a refund they say in order to get a refund you must request within two weeks of purchase and that there should be less than 2 hours of gameplay. I caught my son and
    his friends playing less than an hour after he purchased it. I immediately requested a refund and it got denied with no explanation. I’ve read a few people on here having the same issues.

    It seems really unfair that I’m now stuck with a $40 game even though my refund request was compliant with their terms. Is there anything I can do?

    Thanks for the replies. Sorry with the issue about getting a refund. Unfortunately, as you stated the customer support and refunds are separate. With all the issues of trying to get refund, first make sure the one who purchased tries the refund. If they
    continue I recommend requesting a call from support and talking with a supervisor. As under the terms you should qualify as it hasn't been played for 2 hours and within 14 days.

    Are you trying to refund it to your partner's account? If you didn't purchase it, it maybe that it won't refund to you.

    Thanks for the advice.

    I've tried contacting them via that method, however that puts you through to customer service, not refunds, and there isn't anything customer service can do except tell you to reply to the email chain or log another refund request. Apparently customer service
    and refunds are separate and refunds don't have a contact phone.

    Unfortunately I've also already redeemed the code. It doesn't specifically state what platform the game is on when redeeming a gift, so I assumed it was PC and only realised it was Xbox when I couldn't install it. However this definitely doesn't count as
    playing the game, and shouldn't count as consuming it either.
