Refund being refused because key was activated

Whenever I reply to the email I get the same copy and pasted repsonse saying they reviewed it again and it was not able to be refunded. They haven't even asked to see the friends account to confirm he hasn't played it.

I've spoken to support and thats where I got the answers above, not a single minute of the game has been played and I contacted them the night it was purchased.

So by your accounts I should at least be entitled to a refund, but they just keep instantly saying no. Why am I paying for a defective game that your own launcher can't download?

all refunds and disputes are done over at the support page at xbox.com/support you can also request a refund via your purchase history providing the game was purchased on your account and on the xbox website, app or console, any games purchased from other vendors would be down to their refund policy.

refunds are usually only permitted if you have played the game less than 2 hours and have not previously surpassed your refund allowance.

however it does state that just because you can request a refund does not mean you are always entitled.

I owned and was playing it for over a week. I've seen people begging for refunds and getting refused because they've played more than 2 hours...

Yet I've been playing all week and didn't want a refund but am being conned out of a sale they offered in the first place.
