Refresh rate on a q60t tv won't go past 4k 50hz, but is advertised at 4k 60hz...

It depends on what resolution your going to play at and the resolution of the tv,

if 4K, you need HDMI 2.1 to get 4K at 120hz refresh rate,

HDMI 2.0 will only allow 4K at 60hz.

if your at 1080p/1440p, HDMI 2.0 will be ok for 120hz refresh rate, however if it is 1080p/1440p i would recommend getting the Xbox Series S as that is aimed at 1080p/1440p.

Your TV model doesn't support or have any HDMI 2.1 ports, which is what you need if looking to get 4K at 120hz.

also the TV doesn't have 240hz refresh rate, it's a 240hz motion rate, which is a 120hz refresh rate display but again you can't get the Series X to 4K 120hz unless your TV has HDMI 2.1 ports, without HDMI 2.1 on the TV you'll be limited to 4K 60hz.

I’ve changed everything i possibly could in my video settings but i still Can’t get it to be the same as my old tv. The refresh rate is the highest it can go on a standard xbox one which is 50hz and the colour is on rgb mode. Thats about all i can do to
it.

i just can wrap my head around it that my console is pixelated on a 4k tv.

and yes it is a true 4K tv with 3840x2160p

Was Dolby Vision working for you before you sent it in for repair? What TV model and brand do you have?

I recommend going to Settings>Display & sound>Video output>4K TV details and make sure that your TV setup supports Dolby Vision which will be represented by a green checkmark. Then go to Video modes and make sure Allow 4K, HDR10, and Dolby Vision is checked.

Keep your color depth at 8-bit and refresh rate at 60Hz at 4K UHD as your resolution.

None of that makes a much of a difference as you WON'T be playing any AAA games at 4K at 120 FPS. A 4K 120Hz display won't make a blind bit of difference if a game is locked at 60 fps. And many of the launch games will still be 30 fps games.

Digital Foundry has already proven that gaming at 4K on a 120hz display even when the game is locked to 60fps for the most part is better than gaming at 60fps at 4K 60hz, as the refresh rate of a 120hz panel is faster than a 60hz panel,

also, have to bare in mind that i'm not just wanting a monitor just for the next gen consoles but also for my 4K gaming PC as well, as i will be "killing two birds with one stone" with a monitor upgrade, going from a 4K 60hz monitor to a 4K 144hz.

And i already know that i'm not going to see 120fps on Series X at 4K, my PC's RTX 2080Ti can't even reach that at 4K, but that may change when i get the RTX 3080Ti.
