    Refresh rate has vanished any ideas?


    I am an alpha skip ahead user and since the newest update I have lost the choice of refresh rate. I use a 1440 monitor with refresh rate of 165 and have alway been able to play games at 1440@120hz. But the drop down for the refresh rate has vanished.. Does anyone have any ideas. Cheers.

    XBOX series X support for 1440p 120hz on certain monitors

    The monitor has variable refresh rate (freesync), which works with 1440p (on PC) with range 46 - 148 hz ... So is it still possible that the standard is the problem? I would think if monitor has VRR that it can display any refresh rate , especially if I enable it in settings.

    Why does the Xbox One X force all content (including streaming video) into ALLM if VRR is also selected?

    Freesync and G-Sync match the panel refresh rate with the systems frame rate. It is used to reduce screen tearing when the frame rate goes above or below the monitors refresh rate. It has nothing to do with helping the system obtain a high fps. It is
    all to reduce or eliminate screen tearing.

    if the frequency is 50 Hz, the refresh rate you need to use is 50 Hz.

    if you use 60 Hz it will not make any real differences but the correct refresh rate to use is 50 Hz.

    Every monitor has a refresh rate. My current one has a refresh rate of 1 milisecond. The one I used before this one had a 5ms refresh rate. It all depends on the monitor. The faster the better. Its still a matter of personal preference though. Just play
    on what you like best. You'll notice a difference though if play on a higher resolution for awhile and then switch to a lower rez.
