Reformat xbox one x internal drive

Hi

I have an xbox one x that seems to a corrupt disk. I copy a game from an external drive and it fails to start from the internal drive. I have performed several reset to the console with out success. I now play all the games from an extenal hard drive.

Is it possible to do a reformat or defrag to update the File allocation table on the internal drive and then reinstall the OS.

No problem.

At £200+ for a service I shall play from the external drive and update the console when the ‘pro’ version of the series x comes out end of ‘23.

Never mind I just seen you did a factory reset removing everything.

Okay, thank you. Did you try to perform a factory reset with the option to remove everything? Does that happen with both disc and digital games?

Hi,

I did several factory resets whilst working to resolve the issue with Ubisoft.

The first I left the games in place - didn’t cure the issue.

Second uninstalled the games, factory reset, reinstalled from a download as the two games shown were digital copies - didn’t cure the issue.

The dlc’s install/copy ok (I get no errors at least) but as I am unable to play the games I can not tell if they run.

Just installed a game from disk off line and the game seems to play.

The digital games are large and stall at about 70-90%.

The disk game is smaller (26mb) ‘shadow of Mordor’, if that is any help.
