Reflections co-developing Tom Clancy's The Division

Ubisoft's latest Tom Clancy IP, The Division, is being co-developed.

It was originally thought that Massive Entertainment in Sweden was solely responsible for the game, however it's emerged that UK studio Reflections - the team behind Driver - is actually helping out on the title.

Reflections MD Pauline Jacquey told develop magazine that "about 40 per cent" of her studio is working on The Division and this is bigger than some of the firm's contributions to previous Ubisoft titles.

"We're working on all of the game's systems: main characters, enemies, RPG pillars, building Manhattan, online components, and so on," she said.

"It gives us a very broad and wide input on the game, but it's not as limited as the naval battles on Assassin's Creed III."

Jacquey also added that Reflections has already been working on The Division for a few months now.

"We've brought a very good design and technological strength to The Division," she said. "Massive's team is bigger, but ours is still significant, and its competency in art, technology and design is really showing.

I hope I'm wrong but from what I've been reading over the last few weeks I have a feeling we won't see this until early 2015.

 

Nice but it seems Ubisoft got some troubles with their new IP franchises....Between The Crew,Watchdogs and The Division they got a lot to achieve.....Hopefully for them none got a release date....Good luck.

 

Looking forward to this game as well however Ubi seems to be one of the least reliable when it comes to meeting their proposed release dates (I had RB6 Patriots pre-paid at one point). The good news is, they don't release games until their done.
