Referred here about missing achievements by xbox live chat.

I am missing 2 achievements from Ryse: Son of Rome. I contacted xbox via live chat and they told me to wait 24 hours to see if the achievement would pop on its own. It had already been 72 hours when I contacted them and it's been another 24 since I was
asked to wait. None of the trouble shooting tactics helped with the issue and upon contacting live chat back today they asked me to post here along with the ticket number...

Unable to unlock two specific achievements in two different games!

Im unable to unlock the "return to sender" achievement in minecraft

and the "halo 3 skulltaker:cowbell" achievement in the master chief collection.

I tried to contact support through the chat function but i was referred by Vin to post about it on here

help!!

Errrmmm...yeah, this is one of those weird issues that has no fix besides to just wait it out. From what I have seen, the achievements are already unlocked, just will take about a week to finally show up. Give it time. That's really all that can be done
as of right now

 

Unless he has to do what the majority of us had to. Some people have been waiting Since March. Fact is, their verification system is broken. There has been many days when the achievement servers have gone down. Again, if you were playing probably on
Aug 13-14, you have some achievements that have not popped. It is very possible they wont pop for a very very long time. The 24 hour thing is an untrue FAQ. It needs pulled off the page. It won't pop until the Live service does a verification. Which may
be tonight... or 4 months from now. They turned a core XBOX property into something that has been broken. The team working on the Live Service have allowed this to go on many times. Normally, a CEO would be calling for heads to roll and restructure.

 

Pretty much ANYTHING the Xbox Live Chat Support people say is BS. They just tell you what they think you wanna hear to get rid of you and making you feel like the issue will be resolved ASAP. It wont be. It took them a week to 'fix' this issue for a few
of us last time which for me started July 30th and ran until August 8th. They told me the same thing, wait 24 hours so I did. I waited 3 days then opened another chat with them. This time it was 24 hours or until the 'weekends.'

A few days later and look where we are again. If you pester them long enough they may give you a free month of live but that doesn't even come close to justifying the amount of money that you and I have spent for a overpriced, in my opinion, paper weight.
Personally I have spent over $1500 on this system/games/accessories and all I got from this HUGE issue is 1 month Xbox Live free worth a whooping $7.99 give or take. We should be getting free games like when PSN went out a few years back. More so now that
it's affecting EVERYBODY. Yet all we'll get is a 'We thank you for your patience. See you in a few days when the problem arises again. Enjoy.'

When talking to Chat Support they decided to bring up the ToU which states:

5. Services disruptions and backup

We strive to keep the Services up and running; however, all online services suffer occasional disruptions and outages, and Microsoft isn't liable for any disruption or loss you may suffer as a result. You should regularly backup the content that you store
on the Services. Having a regular backup plan and following it can help you prevent loss of your content.'

Notice where it says OCCASIONAL DISRUPTIONS AND OUTAGES. This is a pretty frequent 'disruption and outage' so it doesn't apply here.

You come home from work, school, or whatever and wanna relax or kill some time on Xbox and earn a few achievements, well if you were one of the luck few you could up until now that is and if you weren't so luck then this issue has been around since launch.

Hey, guys! First off, I'm sorry to see that you're all affected by the achievement issues we've been having. I wanted to make sure you understood that.

It is taking much longer than expected for achievements to pop for people. If your achievement says 100%, though, do not worry, it should pop. It is just taking longer than the normal 24 hours.

As there are no troubleshooting steps at this point except to wait, I'm going to go ahead and lock this thread. We constantly see reports of people getting their achievements every day. Please be patient with us! We're working hard to make sure that you guys
get what you've played so hard for.
